This is how you may use your NoMU rubs
The delicious NoMU rubs from South Africa are so popular not only due to their unique taste. The fact that they are always and exclusively made from natural ingredients and without artificial additions and preservatives makes the spice mixtures a popular companion for kitchen and grill.
The rubs offer a wide range of possible applications. Our suggestions for your kitchen experiences:
- Bastet you meat or vegetable of your choice with olive oil and generously sprinkle your favorite NoMU rub over it. Use your hands to rub the spices into the meat or vegetables. This will ensure that the aroma unfolds correctly. Then either put the dish on the stove right away - or let the marinade rest for some time, before you grill, roast or deep-fry your dishes.
- With olive oil: For a quick and easy marinade stir one or two teaspoons of your favorite rub into olive oil. Give the mixture to the meat or vegetable of your choice. Let the dish rest in the marinade for at least an hour. Additionally, exciting flavors arise when you add one of the following ingredients: e.g. peel of 1 untreated lemon, a splash of lemon juice, garlic, chili, mayonnaise, fresh herbs, apricot jam, honey or soy sauce.
- With yogurt: Yogurt or buttermilk makes your meat wonderfully tender. Give the rub of your choice in Greek yogurt or buttermilk and marinate the meat for at least 3 hours.
- With butter: Butter, fish and crustaceans remain very juicy and the flavor is better maintained than with olive oil. Give some soft butter in a bowl and mix it well with the rub of your choice. Add this mixture to the fish or shellfish before frying, grilling or cooking. Suits also excellent with chicken or chicken breast.
